Inclusion of frequency stability constraints in unit commitment using separable programming

چکیده

In this paper we address the problem of frequency stability in unit commitment (UC) optimisation process. We include a set appropriately defined constraints UC formulation for operational planning scenarios advance real-time operation. Consequently, cover system against loss largest infeed under N−1 security criterion.The main contribution our work consists using method separable programming to incorporate linearised Frequency Nadir constraint into problem. work, is formulated as mixed-integer linear program (MILP). This renders fast convergence solution such three area IEEE RTS-96 system. Meanwhile, have included possibility synthetic inertia provision from wind farms, which helps increase available before generation outage. The simulations are run an extended version MATPOWER tailored solving problems (MOST) MATLAB.
